it is similar to Slax homepage layout, that i like too.
it seems very easy to explore and funtional.

I've noticed that in the old site news are both in "news" page and in "homepage".

It would be great to have a single news page, and to have latest news shown in homepage, like latest updates to projects and so on.......an example could be the news on slackware.com

yeah!

a poll in the homepage would be very usefull....maybe for asking what features users like to be developed.
